Devinder graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2019 with a BA honours degree in Psychology and a minor in history with distinction. Devinder’s honours thesis work investigated consensual yet unwanted sexual activity in heterosexual men, for which he won the 2019 Canadian Psychological Association of Academic Excellence award. Devinder's research interests include examining sexual consent, sexual desire, various aspects of masculinity and gender-roles, social cognition, and Theory of Mind.
Currently he is working as a research assistant in both the Observations and Research in Gender and Sexuality Matters (O.R.G.A.S.M) Research Lab and in Dr. Daniel Bernstein's Lifespan Cognition Lab on projects investigating Theory of Mind in both typically developing children and young adults and those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and healthy adults.
In his free time Devinder enjoys taking his dog Zoë for hikes, barbequing, playing boardgames, and watching his favorite NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
